Protecting Canadians’ Financial Futures

A great deal of work has been done to advance the proposition that planning should be professionalized.

The first part of the campaign is to develop a communications piece endorsed by the four member organizations of the Financial Planning Coalition. The piece is now ready to go. It outlines the purpose of the Coalition, why planning should be regulated and how that can be done. The communications piece is being launched June 15 and it will be inserted into Investment Executive in June to 42,000 people who read that paper. It will also be circulated to governments and industry stakeholders.

This piece will be used to clearly outline the steps that should be taken to accomplish the goal of professionalization with decision makers.

The Coalition has also modified the web site to provide greater clarity as to the need for this effort to protect Canadians as well as the steps needed to get there.
